Social Image Resizer

This Instagram image resizer, which also works as a TikTok size converter, crops or fits a photo to the pixel size each app expects. Pick a preset, preview the result, and download a PNG or JPG. Use it for covers, carousels, and story frames so the app does not crop your text.

What size should an Instagram post be?

A feed square is 1080×1080. A portrait post is 1080×1350. Stories and Reels use 1080×1920. TikTok uses the same 9:16 frame. This converter maps those presets so you are not guessing in an export dialog.

Should you crop or fit the image?

Crop fills the frame and may cut edges. Fit shows the whole image and may add a background. Use crop for photos. Use fit when you cannot lose text on a graphic.

Why resize before you upload?

Apps compress whatever you give them. Starting at the right size keeps type readable and keeps a carousel consistent. Pair the image with a caption that points at one link.
